Last year, Be The Match decided to implement Oracle HCM Cloud and ADP Payroll to help transform its Human Resources department.  They nicknamed the process “Project Aladdin” within the company because employees knew the Cloud would bring them to a whole new world, just like the song!

Before Be The Match could start its implementation process, it underwent a selection process for both the system and the implementation partner that would be the best fit for the company. Once the system and implementation partner were selected, planning began.

Be The Match created a Subject Matter Team, decided on processes and plans, and then worked with its partner to decide on a timeline, cost, and approach for the HCM Cloud implementation. Having a thorough plan and helpful partnerships throughout this process was a game changer for Be The Match.

The final decision was to undergo a single-phase implementation. The process began in February 2017, and over the next six months, they completed the planning, designing, configuration and deployment. The new system went live in August 2017.

Before this transition, Be The Match had over six different systems within HR. Now, Oracle HCM Cloud covers the roles of core HR, compensation, time and labor, talent management, recruiting and benefits. The only additional system in use is ADP for payroll. This allowed the company to switch to a single sign-on, and employees loved not having six different passwords!

“Project Aladdin” was a big success at Be The Match. One point made in the presentation was that the fun, positive outlook from the start helped get the whole organization on board with the change.
