Think about all the notifications you get throughout the day—emails, text messages, social media accounts, etc. It’s easy to follow social topics that are interesting to you. Why not do the same for your business? Stay up to date and track important information through JD Edwards EnterpriseOne notifications.
A few key takeaways from this article include:
- Notifications can be sent through a variety of mediums to reach employees at work and on the move.
- Subscribers can configure notifications to track specific values.
- In 9.2.2.4, a new role was created so managers can assign notifications to team members.
Notifications can be set up around any information that is tracked in your JD Edwards system. You can get alerts about inventory, shipments, equipment status and more. Any important event or conditions that you subscribe to will be delivered straight to you.
Users can receive these notifications through email, text messages, Internet browsers or directly within the JD Edwards user interface. You decide how you want to receive the notification. Whether you’re at your desk or on the move, it is easy to stay connected to what is happening at work.
You can also configure notifications once you’re subscribed. You can insert your own defined values like a specific customer ID that you want to track. This is helpful because it allows business analysts to design general notifications and allow subscribers to configure them later instead of creating separate notifications for each instance.
Notifications that are defined and published by the business analyst can also be assigned to team members by the new assigner role created in 9.2.2.4. Now managers can assign their team notifications that they think are important for their role, so everyone is kept in the loop.
