Stanford Research Institute (SRI) International is an independent, nonprofit research center that was founded by Stanford University in 1946. The innovating, groundbreaking company decided to move to HCM Cloud over the last few years to help manage the generations of talent that make their way into the company. In this presentation, SRI shares their experience on how to embrace the cloud.
After deciding to move to Cloud, there were seven key implementation considerations that were laid out. These considerations included the business process, customizations, integrations, data conversions, people, the migration roadmap and the cost.
When looking at various HCM Cloud solutions, SRI knew that they wanted a system that could serve as a one-stop solution for all HR needs. They needed a solution that could enable Manager Self-Service, would be highly configurable, had sophisticated Analytics and was cost-effective to subscribe and implement. The collaborative environment within SRI needed a social platform to thrive in. These criteria set ultimately led them to Oracle HCM Cloud.
Phase I of the launch was live by the end of June 2016. This initial phase included the core functions like Payroll, Benefits and Reporting. Phase II went live in the middle of January 2017 and focused more on talent management pieces like Career View, Time and Attendance, Talent Acquisition and more.
SRI now uses Oracle HCM Cloud for Core HR, Benefits and Absence Management, Compensation Administration, Goals and Performance Management, Succession and Talent, Payroll, Time and Labor, and Business Intelligence. They are utilizing Taleo for Onboarding.
