In the latest episode of PeopleSoft Talk, Marc Weintraub talks with Rebekah Jackson, Vice President of Product Management, about delivered functionality and what’s in PeopleSoft’s future for 2018. To make PeopleSoft a “modern” Application, Rebekah says the areas of investment are a simple, intuitive, mobile user experience, an agile innovation of business functions and low cost, responsive development operations.
In addition to these new areas of investment, Rebekah highlights Classic Plus as a new feature. PeopleSoft recommends adoption of Classic Plus as quickly as possible. Introduced in 2017, Classic Plus provides a new level of cohesion throughout the PeopleSoft product with its ability to work in harmony with Fluid UI. It improves the user experience across navigation, search, personalization and information delivery. It also features a mobility and transaction redesign with Fluid UI when and where necessary.
Rebekah mentions that the power of PeopleSoft is evident in the way they have developed PeopleTools. Customers are able to make it their own and expand usage by focusing on personalization via configuration versus customization. Rebekah also states that utilization of the PeopleSoft Oracle Cloud is fundamental to the ongoing strategy of PeopleSoft development.
In regard to specific feature functions, some examples of ongoing investment are mobile/redesigned benefits open enrollment, mobile/redesigned employee timesheet, expanded pre-boarding/off-boarding processing, paysheet update processing for terminated employees, core HR simplified analytics, integration with LinkedIn for job applicants, social collaboration on training and mandatory learning, additional talent management enhancements and HR Help Desk Integration with HR Self Service.
