Presented at PeopleSoft Industry Days – Public Sector 2025
This session will provide a summary of common challenges and opportunities that public sector organizations face in keeping up with PeopleSoft. It includes lessons learned from our efforts to align with Oracle’s product roadmap and lifecycle management strategy. We will discuss current challenges, opportunities for improvement, and best practices for staying current until we transition to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS) or another Cloud ERP solution (SaaS). Additionally, we will explore strategies and newly delivered features designed to reduce customizations to delivered objects, minimizing code retrofit efforts both now and during future upgrades, thereby improving maintainability. To conclude, we will open the floor for a discussion with audience participation, aiming to gain insights into our current ERP landscape and better plan the future of ERP systems in public sector organizations.
