The business world keeps evolving — and so does the practice of business analysis. For enterprise platform business analysis professionals, staying ahead means understanding not only system functionality but also how to align technology with business needs effectively.
To support professionals in this effort, IIBA has released the latest iteration of The Business Analysis Standard—a key step toward connecting it with the broader body of knowledge found in IIBA’s standards and guides. This foundational resource provides a common, simplified language for core business analysis concepts while introducing new focus areas, such as the business analysis mindset and organizational considerations.
In this session, we’ll explore what’s new in the latest edition, why it matters for business analysis professionals and leaders, and how you can apply it to your work.
Learning Objectives:
✅ Introduce the Business Analysis Standard, how it connects to IIBA’s other standards and guides, and how it applies to business analysts, functional consultants, and business analysis leaders.
✅ Discover what’s new in this edition, including how its language has been made more accessible to a wider range of stakeholders and decision-makers.
✅ Provide guidance for leaders on implementing business analysis in their organizations, using the Standard as a foundation for aligning and standardizing business analysis practices.
