Oracle Workshop: Logic Extensions for Developers

Presented by:

Kou Lo, Oracle

Abstract:

You’re a developer, and you’ve built your career on the sublime beauty of a well-engineered program. After all, at its heart, software runs on programming. So what’s all this hype about low-code/no-code tools? You might be thinking, “What can logic extensions possibly do for me?” How about array processing? Data aggregation. Table I/O. Looping and iterating. Conditional branching. Recursive patterns. Business functions. Debugging. There’s plenty of deep functionality to keep even the most seasoned developer intrigued for more than a few cups of coffee. In this hands-on lab you’ll get to kick the tires on logic extensions and see for yourself how powerful they can be. Bring your own caffeine.

In this workshop you’ll have the chance to choose the exercise that most interests you:
– Creating EnterpriseOne Pages (General capabilities)
– Creating EnterpriseOne Pages as Process Models
– Launching Orchestrations from EnterpriseOne Pages and Forms

Workshop: Unlock ERP Intelligence: A Hands-On AI Automation Workshop for JDE

Presented by:

Arvind Rajan, Astute

Abstract:

AI for ERP can modernize enterprise processes across Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Bill-to-Collect, Record-to-Report, and Source-to-Settle. Leveraging GenAI for document processing, semantic search, and agentic workflows, modernizing JDE delivers real, user-focused outcomes.

At INFOCUS 2025, this hands-on workshop lets participants test-drive AI in ERP through key use cases:

  • Invoice Automation (AstuteAP): Process PO/Non-PO invoices, perform 2-/3-way matching, detect duplicates, and apply predictive GL coding—cutting cycle times and errors.
  • Contract Automation (AstuteCLM): Generate executive summaries, author/send agreements, manage supplier edits, and track renewals—streamlining contract management.
  • Expense Automation (AstuteExpense): Extract receipts, auto-create entries/reports, route for approval, and validate against policy.
  • AskData: Ask natural language questions like “Show me invoices > 50K missing Bill of Lading” and get instant answers—no custom queries needed.

Participants also get a refresher on AI Document Understanding to extract structured data from invoices, resumes, passports, and more. Learn to build and deploy RAG agents that securely combine enterprise data with AI using your choice of LLMs.

Please bring a laptop up to date with latest OS and security patches (Windows 10/11 or macOS Monterey or later) to the session to participate.

Attendee requirements:

  • Laptop: Up-to-date with latest OS and security patches (Windows 10/11 or macOS Monterey or later).
  • Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure access to a reliable network (802.11ac or better).
  • Browser: Latest version of Chrome, Firefox, or Edge with cookies and JavaScript enabled.
  • OCI Console Access: A trial or corporate OCI account with permissions for Document Understanding and GenAI services (if available). Participants have to register on or before September 5, 2025 in order to have their trail accounts created on OCI that they will use during the workshop.
  • Workshop Credentials & Sample Files: Login details and sample documents (PO_invoice_sample.pdf, NonPO_invoice_sample.pdf, PO_data.csv, batch_invoices.csv, Sample_Contract.docx) pre-downloaded to your laptop. Sample files will be provided by Astute.
  • Optional: Headset or earbuds for video instructions.
